Co-Pastor Juakena Winston

Co-Pastor Juakena Winston is truly a woman called by God for the work of the kingdom in this 21st Century. God has gifted her to birth youth and women into their destinies. Co-Pastor Winston cannot easily be categorized or classified. She stands out among many as a uniquely designed multi-faceted woman. From her fashion style to her preaching style she is in a class of her own Currently she serves as the Pastor at Mercy Seat Assembly, Co-Pastor of the youth department and Women’s Ministry, and assistant to Apostle Darryl Winston at Greater Works Ministries, in Atlanta, GA. She also oversees other ministries within the church.

Under her leadership assists several youths have been led to Christ and joined the ministry along with their parents. She has written plays and skits that have allowed youth to minister through drama, dance, voice and other areas of Fine Arts. Co-Pastor Winston is also very involved in several community outreach efforts. She has volunteered at the local Special Olympics, Hands on Atlanta Day, HIV/AIDS programs and many more.

Co-Pastor Juakena Winston is a native of Washington, D.C. Before accepting her call to ministry, Co-Pastor “J” as affectionately called at Greater Works, acquired a B.A. in Broadcast Technology from the University of Maryland, Bowie Campus. She later relocated to the Atlanta area to pursue a master’s degree which she completed at Clark-Atlanta University in the area of Special Education. Co-Pastor Winston taught 7 years in the Atlanta Public School System in the special education department before working diligently to open Seeds of Greatness Christian Academy.

 

Co-Pastor Winston exhibits a family first way of living. She is a dedicated wife to founding Pastor of Greater Works Ministries, Apostle Darryl L. Winston and a caring mother of 4 children. In just one brief encounter, it is evident that Co-Pastor Juakena Winston is on a mission for God. She exhibits great faith in her diligence and tenacity in doing the work of the Lord. She has been called for such a time as this to leave an imprint in this new church era.
